WLC Construction Services’ Pre-Planning Services offers professional estimating services to help Districts increase their OPSC State grant allotment for site, off-site, and utilities. Our primary function is to identify Districts that may be under-funded in those areas and offer to review their 15 day response from OPSC to verify that they are receiving all that is available from the State. Our efforts so far have provided an additional $16.1 million in funding over 24 projects since 2004. Our review service is offered free and a fee is charged only when there is an increase in the District’s allotment. Our pre-planning services department can also prepare the new ADA/FLS worksheet now mandated for modernization projects by DSA and funded by OPSC from proposition 1D.

WLC is an architectural firm providing a full range of services for K-12 educational, collegiate, academic, corporate, entertainment, transportation, religious and civic projects. WLC operates from offices in Southern California, Sacramento area, and the Bay area, California. Schoolink is a periodical newsletter prepared by the planning staff of WLC Architects which addresses the current state of school facilities development in the state of California. Newsworthy items, developments, and issues within the major control agencies are discussed. The following agencies are addressed in each issue: Office of Public School Construction, California Department of Education/School Facilities Planning Division, Division of the State Architect, Department of Toxic Substances Control, and of course the State Allocation Board and Implementation Committee meetings. Schoolink is produced when newsworthy items occur, generally after the Allocation Board and Implementation Committee meetings.
